FAQ

Can I order my ring in a size that is not in the drop down?

All of our rings can be made in half and quarter sizes. If you do not see your size in the drop down menu, simply email hello@berlingerjewelry.com and we will send you an invoice noting your size request.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Typical production timing for our jewelry is between 2 and 6 weeks. As all of our jewelry is hand made to order in our studio here in LA, and each piece has it’s own production timeline. Please check the specific “Item Details” section for average production timeline of your piece. Sometimes, we can accommodate rush orders, please email hello@berlingerjewelry.com if you have a rush order inquiry.

Can I get a Custom Quote?

Yes, please email us at michelle@berlingerjewelry.com to receive a quote on customizing one of our pieces. Our custom quotes are only valid for a month due to the increasing cost of materials.

What if I want to try on a ring before purchasing?

We offer two “virtual” try on options. You can email us a photo of your hand, and we can photoshop the desired ring onto your finger so you can visualize the ring. For many of our pieces that are created in CAD (this includes all of the Diamond Mosaic pieces), we can create a silver replica of the setting (without any stones) in your size for try on. These silver replicas cost $125 and take us about a week to create and ship to you, but we then deduct that $125 from your final order. Please contact us at hello@berlingerjewelry.com to order a silver replica or request a visualization.

Can I engrave my ring?

Yes! We can engrave the inside of almost all of our rings with a date, initials, word, or note for an additional $75.00 fee per ring. We can use script or block font, and fit up to 15 characters. We can also customize certain rings with engraving on the outside for an additional fee (this depends on the scope of the engraving). Please email us before placing your order at hello@berlingerjewelry.com about the engraving you would like to include so we can attach this to your order.

Where are you located?

Our studio is in downtown Los Angeles in the historic Jewelry District.

Does my ring come with an appraisal?

We offer appraisals upon request for all jewelry priced above $4,500 USD. Our jewelry does not come with 3rd party appraisals or verification unless specifically requested and is subject to a fee. Some rings will come with diamond certificates, which will be listed in the item details section of the piece.

Do custom rings cost more?

No! Custom orders do not cost more. We can make custom jewelry based on any budget, and work with you to craft your special piece based on your needs and preferences. Our minimum cost to create a custom piece is $2,500 To begin the custom design process, email custom@berlingerrings.com

What kind of diamonds do you use, and where do you get them?

We typically only work with natural diamonds. Upon request, we can work with lab created diamonds or moissanite as the centerstone in our rings. Please note, our diamond mosaic rings cannot be made in moissanite or lab. The stones in the halo's of these ring are specialty cuts only found in natural diamond. In custom or customizations of our designs, we source stones that will fit in our client’s budget range and ring design. We can give you several options with the total prices for each option. The most commonly used diamonds in our diamond mosaic and collection pieces are F-G in color, and VS in clarity. Each and every stones is hand selected for each piece and are eye clean (meaning they do not have any visible inclusions).

The diamonds and gemstones we source are exclusively from reputable dealers who use ethical sourcing practices. We have personal relationships with these dealers, who all strictly adhere to Kimberly Process guidelines. In addition, a member of our production team is hand selecting each and every diamond that goes into our jewelry.

I have my own center stone, can you set it in a Berlinger ring?

Yes! In some cases, but not all, we can accommodate. We typically only work with family heirloom stones & diamonds with sentimental value that have specific provenance information. Please be prepared to provide details on your stone including color, clarity, size, shape, type, and value. We will need proof of payment or an insurance appraisal for your piece prior to having it shipped into our studio so we can properly insure it for you. We do not work with gemstones sourced from outside dealers. We will match any additional stones in the design to your center stone for color and clarity. Once your design is finalized and a deposit is put down on your ring, we will send you a prepaid insured Fedex shipping label and instructions on how to get your stone to our studio to incorporate into your jewelry.

Can I see more photos & videos than what is available online?

Yes! Please email us at hello@berlingerjewelry.com and we will do our best to send you as many photos/videos we have of the style so you can get a sense of the piece IRL.
